The registry

Registries are your reusable reference data: customers, products, payment terms… A registry is a list of typed-column records available to every template in the workspace.

Create a registry

From the workspace Registries page: registry name, then columns (text, number, date…). Then add records one by one or paste a list. The ⚑ key marks the deduplication column; editing is inline (Enter commits, Escape cancels), the drawer shows a record's detail.

Use a registry in a template

  1. In the generation form, add a registry field.
  2. At generation, pick a record: all its columns become available variables ({{client.name}}, {{client.email}}…).

In the studio, type @ in a text: registries not yet linked to the template are suggested by autocomplete — picking one inserts the root and links the registry on the spot. The "Add data" field of the Data panel suggests the same registries.

Folder cascades

A folder can carry its own registry or template: it then inherits from its parent folder, and failing that from the workspace. This is the folder → ancestors → workspace cascade — see Folders & organisation.
