What an employment certificate is for
It is the most requested proof of employment in everyday life: rental applications, daycare enrollment, bank loans, account opening, family paperwork. The institution wants a simple assurance: this person is employed by this company, in this role, since this date.
The details you should never omit
- The employer: company name, registered address, legal form and registration numbers.
- The employee: full name and date of birth — institutions cross-check identities.
- The situation: hire date, position, contract type, full-time or part-time.
- Salary, only if the employee asks for it.
- The closing formula: "issued at the employee's request to serve whatever legal purpose it may".
- Place, date and signature of the employer (or authorised representative).
Double-check the spelling of the name and the date of birth: a single typo is enough for an institution to reject the document.
What a certificate is not
It attests only to what it states: no opinions on the employee, no performance comments, no reasons for the request. It does not replace a termination certificate (end of employment) or payslips (pay history). Stay factual — that is precisely what makes it credible.
Generate the certificate as PDF
